Job Posting Title: Lifestyle Product Specialist- Purina Animal Nutrition - Kentwood, LA Job Description: We're hiring a Lifestyle Product Specialist to focus on Lifestyle feed sales in the Kentwood/Hammond, Louisiana market. Primary responsibilities include: - Focus primarily on cattle (40%), horse (30%) and show/pet/flock/companion (30%), animal feed sales by calling on lifestyle/livestock animal owners and providing a consultative sales approach. - Evaluate and assist animal owners with their nutritional program. - Organize and conduct effective educational meetings for 4H clubs, saddle clubs, horse enthusiasts, vets, trainers, lifestyle show clubs, etc. to enhance brand image and sell product. - Conduct selling events to build store traffic. - Complete approximately 25 farm calls per week, and annually growing sales and market share in the above categories. Experience & Education: - Bachelors degree in Animal Science, related field or equivalent experience required - Candidate must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. - Sales experience strongly desired Required Competencies & Other Skills: - Excellent verbal and written communication, focus, along with strong organization and time management skills. - High internal drive, a natural ability for relationship building, and leadership in a team environment. - Competent in providing accurate feeding and management recommendations to lifestyle owners in the market serviced. - Basic command of nutritional recommendations to beef and various lifestyle/livestock owners. - Candidate has strong public speaking skills. - Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office, necessary for success. - Prefer 3-5 years previous sales/consulting experience Percentage of Travel: - 15% over night travel, in addition to daily travel in the assigned geography If you have questions, please call the HR Solution Center at 844-LOL-HR4U (844-565-4748) M-F 8:00am-4:30pm CT.
