Tychy Structures Plant was established in 2005 and employs around 1300 talented individuals. It is a metal plant where we produce steel structures for seating.

For a newly created position, to our EUROPEAN IT MANUFACTURING TEAM, we are looking for an expert on the mentioned position.
Purpose of this role is to ensure the successful implementations of the Lear Production System (LPS). This involves all manufacturing hardware, software, and configuration to ensure on-time cost effective solutions.
LPS is a manufacturing execution system (MES) written in-house. The main function of LPS is to communicate with shop floor devices on the production line to a defined build process, ensuring results and safety critical data are captured and recorded for future reference.

YOUR TASKS WILL BE:
- Implement in house IT production system (LPS) across European plants on Welding, Stamping and Assembly equipment
- Develop PLC and standard interface using Kepware OPC server to work reliably with manufacturing hardware and robotics
- Support launching of new manufacturing production lines across European facilities
- Develop internal PLC programming standards, and HMI interface for all locations
- Active and effective troubleshooting with out of box thinking
- Train the local staff on how to use and troubleshoot the system
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Strong IT background and understanding of production processes and procedures (min. 2 years practice in production company within in IT / Automation area)
- Experience with RSLinx/Kepware and OPC protocol communications necessary
- Knowledge of PLC functionality and capabilities (Siemens S7 preferred)
- Working knowledge of physical networking infrastructure and IP communications including CISCO switches
- Experienced with Remote Management tools
- To be able to formulate logical statements of system computing problems and devising solutions
- Knowledge of Microsoft Technologies – Windows Server, IIS, SQL server and reporting services
- Outstanding communication skills coupled with strong customer focus and sense of humor
