    ABOUT THE ROLE:

     

    This position is for a Resident Engineer, Electrification to support Lear’s premium OEM customers in Germany. The role will have responsibility for working with customers for components such as Wireless Electric Vehicle Chargers (WEVC), On Board Chargers (OBC) and Charing Cables/Cordsets. Working as part of the Electrification Engineering team, reporting to the Engineering Manager, Electrification.

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

    • Voice of the customer to Engineering / Manufacturing teams
    • Technical support to customer engineering teams for development testing
    • Project management of sample deliveries, ensuring customer needs are met
    • Fleet support for delivered hardware / software
    • Identifying new business opportunities and supporting RFQs

     

     

    TYPICALLY WILL INCLUDE:

    • Technical working with Customer stakeholders to understand their requirements, develop solutions and explain Lear’s technology.
    • Communicating the customer needs back to Engineering teams located in Germany, Spain, USA.
    • Supporting customer testing in lab / vehicles
    • Supporting role out of new components and features

     

     

     

    EXPERIENCE:

    • Technical Degree, ideally in field of E/E
    • Experience working with Premium OEMs, Daimler tool sets (CAN bus, Diagnostics, Flash tools)
    • Knowledge of battery electric vehicle systems and components
    • Experience with high voltage components in automotive
    • Languages: German, English
