    About the role

    As a Merchandise Planning Manager, you will be responsible for planning and building a strategic product assortment strategy for our Active & Lounge categories. You will work closely with a Merchandising partner to drive profitable results for the company. This includes analyzing sales, inventory, and margin data to achieve positive financial results. Success in this role requires leadership capabilities, strong analytical skills, precision, and excellent communication abilities. You'll play a crucial role internally and externally, contributing significantly to Spanx's hyper-growth journey as a key member of the Merchandise Planning Team.

    This role is based in our Atlanta headquarters, requires weekly in-office work Tuesday-Thursday , and reports to our Vice President, Merchandise Planning.

    • Build and refine models for product assortment strategy, inventory management, and sales forecasting
    • Analyze historical data, current trends, and utilize digital/marketing KPIs to forecast demand as well as manage inventory levels
    • Act as a thought partner across cross-functional teams and align planning and merchandising goals to the overall business
    • Deliver presentations pre-season as well as post-season to CMO to help drive positive results
    • Support Hindsight, Buy Reviews, and Monday business reviews with standard as well as evolving reporting
    • Continue to monitor the business, not only LY but to plan
    • Optimize inventory while still capitalizing on potential product opportunities through a Monthly OTB process
    • Manage two direct reports to help build a synergized group that will lead to efficiencies within the company
    • Generate reporting on the business that will help key stakeholders make informed decisions
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    We require...

    • 5-7+ years of relevant planning experience, preferably in the retail or fashion industry
    • Exceptional expertise in Excel
    • Proficiency in planning software and tools; Tableau is a plus
    • Planning and Organizing: Sets objectives that align with team and organizational goals; develops plans, commits to timelines, and uses time effectively; anticipates, allocates, and monitors resources to deliver work requirements; documents job information
    • Delivering Results: Focuses on understanding and addressing customer needs; sets high standards for work quality and quantity; delivers high productivity in a focused and timely manner; shows commitment to the organization
    • Decision Making Process: Problem Solves; proficient in identifying root causes in a problem, generating effective solutions with teams, using facts and data for prompt decisions, and takes responsibility for results
    • Critical Thinking: Gains an understanding of the situation or problem; evaluates, integrates, and categorizes information to identify issues, patterns, trends, and relationships; challenges assumptions and draws informed conclusions that enable effective approaches and solutions
