As an Industrial Engineer within the Supply and Inventory Control (SIC) team at Micron Technology, Inc., you will have the opportunity to lead innovation to solve complex manufacturing and supply chain problems. You will be responsible for analyzing and optimizing the performance of production operations. You will accomplish these responsibilities by working with team members around the world to drive On Time Delivery (OTD), New Part Introduction (NPI), and work scheduling optimization. This position is being offered in Manassas, Virginia - Responsibilities and Duties include, but not limited to: · Design and coordinate OTD improvement projects with several different departments · Coordinate with Supply Chain to achieve OPD with customers · Interface with Micron's other production Fabs throughout the world to plan for future product introductions and optimize current production capabilities. · Semiconductor manufacturing line management · Scheduling and production planning · Use statistical analysis to maintain and audit manufacturing capacity information · Work with management to develop applications to continuously improve production metrics · Capacity analysis - Qualifications and Skills include, but not limited to: · 3-5 years of experience in Supply Chain Management · Degree/Major: BS, MS or Ph.D in in Industrial Engineering, Production/Operations Management degree, or Computer Science or equivalent degree/experience · Previous experience in a semiconductor environment is preferred · Deep knowledge gained through academic course work or experience in inventory management · Deep knowledge gained through academic course work or experience in modeling and managing process cycle times · Strong knowledge gained through academic course work or experience in work scheduling methodology · Knowledge gained through academic course work or experience in Lean Manufacturing concepts · Knowledge gained through academic course work or experience in capacity planning · Strong understanding of statistics applied to data analysis · Knowledge of Microsoft DBMS · Ability to write Scripts in Windows Environment · Demonstrated analytic and problem-solving skills · Excellent multi-tasking skills · Strong written and verbal communication skills. - About Us As the leader in innovative memory solutions, Micron is helping the world make sense of data by delivering technology that is transforming how the world uses information.
