Job Description
Job Position: Nuclear Quality Assurance Specialist
Reports to: KNES/KES Quality Assurance Manager
KNES Quality Assurance Coordinator will conduct assist in the execution of quality related project requirements at for KNES manufacturing sites, remote sites, and vendor activities. Review and organize records upon receipt, verifying for compliance and preventing nonconforming material from being introduced to the value stream.
Overview of Quality Assurance Specialist Roles and Responsibilities:
Departmental
Supports all ISO, NQA-1 and 10 CFR 50 Appendix B components and projects as required by the base load of the other quality department personnel.
Assist in the surveillance of commercial suppliers performing work on nuclear business unit components
and services as directed by quality management.
Performs additional quality related tasks as may be assigned by the KNES Quality Assurance Manager

Qualifications
Experience
Traits / Skills
Ability to effectively handle multiple tasks simultaneously; and the ability to work effectively and efficiently with minimal supervision; must be a self-starter
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Self-directed and the ability to interact with supervisors, engineers, and customers effectively.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc)
Strong teamwork and networking skills
Education: High School Diploma, equivalent or higher – dependent on commensurate experience
Requirements: Valid Driver's License
Travel Estimate - 10% Intrastate (Dependent on location), 5%+Interstate (overnight)
