Load pallets, boxes, and product on trucks.
Maintain safety and good housekeeping, including clean warehouse on a daily basis.
_ _Drive liquefied gas, or battery powered industrial trucks equipped with lifting devices such as forklift or clamps, to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials.
Move levers and presses pedals to drive an industrial lift truck and control movement of lifting apparatus.
Position forks or clamps under or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products, or materials and transports the
load to the designated area.
Unload and stack material by raising and lowering lifting device.
Load and unload materials onto and off of pallets and skids.
Maintain all paperwork on shift to include successful completion of bill of lading.
Lubricate truck, changes, services and recharges batteries, replaces liquefied gas tank.
Inspect all equipment and perform daily operator maintenance on the trucks.
Report all incidents and accidents.
Determine space requirements and position of shipment in trucks and lays out position of shipments.
Receive incoming materials, records receipt, and stores in the appropriate location.
Perform other duties that may be assigned.
Required Skills
High school education or GED equivalent.
Forklift and high reach experience.
Extensive standing, some bending, lifting/moving required.
Good vision and equilibrium.
Regularly required to stand for long periods; use hands to finger, handle, or feel, objects, tools, or controls;
reach with hands and arms.
Good hand -eye coordination is essential.
Occasionally required to climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and
occasionally lift and/or move 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include distance, peripheral, and
depth perception.
Occasionally works near moving mechanical parts, and outside weather conditions.
Read and write; Understand spreadsheets.
Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, division, multiplication).
Exposure to manufacturing environment and loud noise; Hearing protection required at times.
Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Write simple correspondence.
Effectively present information in one-on-one and small groups situations to customers, clients, and
other employees of the organization.
Apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
Deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Must be able to complete the company lift truck training and pass a written test, to obtain a company issued
operator permit.
