For more than a century the company has been enabling engineering breakthroughs that lead to a better tomorrow.Position SummaryResponsible for participating in an intern development program to learn the various aspects of Human Resources in manufacturing supporting the Hose Products Division of Parker Hannifin. This includes assisting in generalist responsibilities for the location, recruiting and completing projects of diverse scope relating to the HR function.ResponsibilitiesThe HR Internship will provide exposure including but not limited to the employee review process, training processes, salary and hourly recruitment, onboarding processes, recordkeeping and retention, apprentice programs, and employee relations tasks relating to associate handbooks and communication.May be involved in sourcing, interviewing, and screening applicants at high levels, and other related selection activities. Consults with staff on temporary staffing plans, and outsourcing alternatives.Increasing the understanding and consistent application of company policies through training and communication methods. Assists with interpretation of policies. Observes and promotes adherence to all ethical standards.Assists in the communication and promotion of employee benefit and wellness programs.Applies continuous improvement measures and methods for creating efficient HR administrative processes. QualificationsQualified Candidates will be currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field.Experience with Microsoft Office Products, HRIS software, and Peoplesoft preferred.Experience screening or interviewing candidates preferredAttained a growing knowledge of human resource principles and legal requirements related to human resources policies and practices.Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Presents self in a professional appearance and manner.Able to effectively communicate, solve problems, and build relationships at all levels.Self-starter, ability to work effectively with others; participative team player, organized, efficient and able to multi-task.Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive issues.About Parker Hannifin:The company's products are vital to virtually everything that moves or requires control, including the manufacture and processing of raw materials, durable goods, infrastructure development and all forms of transport.
