JOB SUMMARY
The Particle Process Operator (Weekend Days) will safely operate a variety of processing equipment in preparing liquid or solid chemicals. The number one priority of the PPO is to create and continuously monitor a safe work environment for themselves and everyone. Operators prepare, monitor, and clean equipment used to mill, grade, mix, filter, and process chemicals. They utilize analytical instrumentation to measure product quality throughout the manufacturing process and use their in-depth knowledge to follow a detailed process control plan to safely produce quality products that meet specifications. The PPO sets up and conducts tests and analysis to gather data and meet product specifications. The PPO will be responsible for keeping record of products and materials shipped and received within the company, and ensure orders are filled correctly. Responsibilities include milling, grading, mixing and safely handling chemicals, recording information and observations, as well as troubleshooting issues with equipment. The PPO problem-solves collaboratively with peers and makes decisions utilizing their specialized knowledge. The PPO demonstrates teamwork, follow instructions and production schedules, and act quickly when a problem arises. The PPO will have a thorough understanding of policies, procedures, quality standards, good manufacturing practices and safety environment regulations. Weekend Day Shift is Friday through Sunday from 6am to 6:30pm.
Role Summary:
Maintain accurate inventory control
Monitoring equipment
Use measuring equipment to meet product specifications
Maintain accurate and efficient data input
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and Windows 10
Ability to independently follow an SOP/PCP/WIN
Communicate well with other departments
Responsible for maintaining a clean work area (this includes anywhere the employee works throughout the day)
Demonstrate transferable skills in application (example: pH probes, scales, milling, and grading is fundamentally the same everywhere)
Ability to multi-task, back-task, and prioritize assigned tasks
Responsible for performing scheduled autonomous maintenance tasks
Prepare material for quality certification
Pass all audits
Evaluate all tasks prior to performing them, both standard and non-standard, for risk. Complete the “Risk Assessment Form” without being told when a risk is personally perceived to be high. Make simple corrections to reduce risk and communicate the results to leadership.
Accurate usage of acute toxicity category 3 and 4 chemicals
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in Production or Manufacturing is preferred
A.S. or B.S. in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science or related field or equivalent work experience is preferred, but not required
