MCL SPECIALIST - QUALITY Businesses PRATT & WHITNEY 576 reviews - Middletown, CT Pratt & Whitney is seeking a highly motivated, team orientated, and experienced laboratory specialist to support the Materials Control Laboratory (MCL). The candidate will be responsible for metallurgical sample preparation, evaluation, disposition, mechanical testing, and process solutions analysis. Other areas of focus will be to interact with manufacturing to respond to metallurgical and chemical issues, develop effective root cause and corrective action as appropriate. The use of ACE tools is required to continually improve laboratory processes and continue to drive the ACE culture. This position is for Alternate Work Week/Swing Shift and the candidate will be required to work weekends and evenings. Position may also require occasional off-shift coverage based on business requirements. Qualification: 1 year experience in the area of metallurgical preparation, chemical & mechanical testing, evaluation and documentation. Quality or manufacturing background with an emphasis on manufacturing processes, materials, root cause investigations and corrective action is desired.
