JOB SUMMARY
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the production manufacturing department which includes assigned salaried leaders and associates working on multiple shifts.
Lead the creation of the value based and engaging working environment which appreciates and values the contributions of every leader and associate while sustaining the focus on exceptional performance and the delivery of assigned performance goals.
KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for leading a line manufacturing organization which includes logistics, production, packaging, and distribution resources. Responsible for developing and/or implementing department level goals and objectives, which support delivery of assigned manufacturing performance goals. Monitors and analyzes daily, weekly, and monthly production results and takes necessary action to meet or exceed plant production standards while focusing on continuous improvement. Successfully communicates business requirements and related performance goals required to establish and sustain an engaged, high level of performance. Sets priorities for the supporting leadership team to ensure task completion and performance goal achievement. Plans, communicates, and distributes work activities to assigned leaders to ensure maximum efficiency in production and logistics.
Manages, trains, and evaluates salaried and hourly associate performance. Coaches, mentors, and trains associates to ensure successful performance. Manages associates on proper work techniques to support established systems. Partners with direct reports to complete the Performance Management Process, establishing annual goals, and formally evaluating performance within established company timeframes. Works closely with Human Resources to consistently review, manage and resolve employee performance and relations issues, including but not limited to coaching corrective actions and terminations as appropriate and in compliance with Company policies and procedures. Consistently and fairly administers company policies, performance management, compensation, and engagement programs to ensure retention and positive employee relations. Supports diversity and inclusion in the workplace and ensures that all required compliance training is completed
Develops a strategy that assures on-time delivery of correctly produced client copy, while achieving plant goals and objectives. Ensures compliance with USPS regulations. Collaborates with maintenance team for equipment repairs and improvements. Responsible for project/process management activities for larger scoped projects or processes with impact on multi-departments. Leads the implementation of change management initiatives which fuel the focus on performance and process improvement initiatives.
Always sustains safety as the #1 priority. Actively participates in the development of the annual plant safety program and the completion of all safety related training. Performs other duties as assigned by management to achieve overall objectives of the organization.
Qualifications
EDUCATION
High School Diploma or GED (Required)
Bachelor's Degree (Preferred)
EXPERIENCE
3 - 5 years relevant experience in a manufacturing environment (Required)
Previous leadership experience
Experience in print or mail industry (Preferred)
CERTIFICATIONS & LICENSURES
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
Ability to think strategically while managing multiple tasks/shifts at a tactical level.
Ability to prepare/present detailed reports, presentations, and data/cost analysis.
Proficient with computers and technology.
Proficient with tools including forecasting, data analysis, work cell organization, goal setting, lean manufacturing, 5S, summarizing and reporting results.
Demonstrated leadership, organizational and interpersonal skills.
Strong oral and written skills.
Ability to seek cooperation, persuade and influence associates, peers, and internal/external customers.
Demonstrated team building, problem solving, and motivational skills required to sustain a productive, multi-cultural workforce.
Ability to work extended hours, weekends, and holidays.
Bilingual preference if needed at location.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.

Generally, indoors in an office environment with internal heating/cooling system, standard office lighting and light foot traffic. May on occasion be exposed to moderate noise of office equipment such as computers, printers, and fax. While completing duties in the plant may be exposed to dust, fumes, temperature, and equipment noise from manufacturing/warehouse environment. All work environments that exceed OSHA's standard on noise levels require associates to wear the hearing protection that is provided. Exposure to extreme temperatures dependent on external climate. Occasional vibration if/when operating powered industrial equipment.
Additional Information
The annual salary range for this role is $88K-115K, in addition this role is eligible for a management bonus.
The pay range may be slightly lower or higher based on the geographic location of the hired employee. The actual pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include participation in a bonus, commission or incentive program.
