  • Responsibilities

    Job Description

    Operating on the 3rd shift (11:00 PM - 7:00 AM, Monday-Friday), the Production Operator facilitates chemical production by staging and moving materials, supporting floor operations (sampling, filtering, packaging, etc.), preparing tanks, managing material transfers, and handling bulk materials. This role also involves housekeeping and working under the supervision of experienced team members.

    Activities and duties may vary depending upon site specific needs and daily work assignments. Essential functions may include, but are not limited to:

    • Moves manufacturing materials as required, including by hand.
    • Prepares packaging, obtains samples, changes filters, labels and loads drums, totes, and tankers with finished product.
    • Prepares tanks to receive production batches by transferring material or performing water rinsing to meet schedule requirements.
    • Follows standard operating procedures including entering variables and monitoring transfers for compounding/blending materials making adjustments as needed.
    • Records data and maintains paperwork and spreadsheets associated with assigned work, judging for accuracy and completeness of data.
    • Follows safety procedures when handling materials and operating equipment.
    • Maintains a safe and clean work environment by performing assigned housekeeping tasks.
    • Follows verification process to ensure highest quality standards are met.
    • Obtains assistance from higher level production personnel if problems arise or normal instructions are insufficient.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • High School Diploma/GED or 3+ years relevant manufacturing experience.
    • Ability to meet respirator fit requirements (clean-shaven).
    • Strong commitment to safety and teamwork.
    • Proven problem-solving and quality focus.
    • Ability to learn, adapt, and follow instructions.
    • Reliable and flexible, with overtime availability.
    • Ability to stand for extended periods and mechanical aptitude.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Associate's degree or equivalent.
    • EHS/Quality & Hazardous Materials training.
    • Forklift/Yard Truck experience.
    • 1-2 years of chemical manufacturing experience

    Essential physical requirements for work:

    • Movement: May require the ability to stand/walk for up to 80% of your shift, with frequent pushing, pulling, bending, reaching, and squatting 50% of the time
    • Lifting: May require the ability to lift up to 50 pounds for up to 50% of your shift.
    • Environment: May require being comfortable working in an environment with varying temperature and humidity.
