    Job Description

    JOB SUMMARY
    Responsible for machine operation and crew in a light industrial setting. Must manage machine team to ensure proper and safe operation of assigned
    equipment. Responsible for quality, output, and meeting production goals. Additionally, fulfills the job duties of a Production Technician 1 and 2 as required.
    KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

    2nd Shift starts at 7:15PM - 5:30AM

    Production: Monitors performance of machine and personnel. Ensures that goals are being met and issues are communicated to Supervisor and/or
    Production Technician 3 Lead. Completes all work assignments during production. Checking in material, Pocket set-ups, move material offline that is
    no longer needed, and other assignments as necessary. Applies advanced troubleshooting skills and performs basic maintenance on assigned
    machines that improve quality and performance. Assists crew members when needed. 40%
    Crew Leadership/Training: Organizes crew activities and delegates assignments. Performs assigned duties. Trains and develops all crew members. 30%
    Quality and Waste: Monitors product quality for correctness and report when errors occur. Monitors print and bundle quality. Make adjustments as
    necessary to correct quality issues. Monitors product waste and take steps to reduce or eliminate spoilage and doubles. 15%
    Communication/Record Keeping: Maintains accurate record keeping IE: safety audits, packages per hour, labor hours per thousand and other logs or
    forms. Communicates personnel issues to the Supervisor or Production Technician 3 Lead. Informs other Operators/Supervisors of pertinent
    information and communicates to other shifts as necessary. Other duties as assigned. 15%

    EDUCATION
    High School Diploma or GED (Preferred)

    EXPERIENCE
    3-5 Years related experience
    Basic computer experience

    KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
    Ability to multi-task.
    Demonstrates ability to line lead or crew lead for one (1) machine.
    Ability to work in a fast-paced environment (varying upon equipment).
    Attention to detail.
    Effective communicator (share equipment knowledge, quality, and safety concerns).
    Ability to troubleshoot machine problems.
    Mathematical skills and advanced skills in production reports.
    Basic computer skills, technical skills may vary based on the equipment.
    Ability and knowledge to operate a pallet jack.
    Strong knowledge and understanding of machine and manufacturing operations.
    Ability to speak and communicate effectively utilizing the English language (preferred).

    COMMUNICATION AND CONTACTS
    • Lead, coach and maintain open communication with other production team members.
    • Participate in the Team Business Meetings.

    DECISION MAKING
    • Work prioritization to meet production commitments and goals.
    • Machine staffing assignments.
    • Machine processing speed.

    OTHER
    • Ability to work overtime, beyond regular schedule, to complete work assignments as
    required.

    this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may carry up to 15 lbs., may push and pull up to 40 lbs., twist, stand, walk, reach, and
    grip/grasp throughout the shift. Employees are also required to frequently lift up to 15 lbs., and squat and kneel. Lastly, employees are required to
    have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

    Additional Information

    The national pay range for this role is $18.70 - $24.90. The pay range may be slightly lower or higher based on the geographic location of the hired employee. The actual pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include participation in a bonus, commission or incentive program.
