    Job Description

    The Project Manager will be a member of the Supply Chain Digital Transformation Manufacturing Intelligence team reporting into the Director, Manufacturing Intelligence Systems. The primary role and responsibility of the Project Manager is to lead the execution of programs that are highly cross functional and strategically important in the areas of MES, Predictive Maintenance, and Machine Vision systems.

    The Project Manager will develop project plans to ensure projects are completed within scope, time, and budget. This role is accountable for projects bring delivered efficiently with consistency in results. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, a deep understanding of manufacturing processes, and the ability to drive continuous improvement through data-driven decision-making. This role requires excellent leadership, communication, and organization skills to ensure the successful delivery of projects that enhance our manufacturing capabilities and efficiency. The position requires extensive facilitation of and collaboration with the cross-functional groups including engineering, manufacturing, IT, sourcing, finance, and other teams, as appropriate.

    POSITION LOCATION: This position is eligible for a hybrid schedule with all work performed in North Olmsted, Ohio; Butler, Indiana; New London, North Carolina; or Oak Creek, Wiscosin.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of Manufacturing Intelligence Systems projects.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, IT, and operations, to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
    • Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives.
    • Monitor and report on project progress, addressing any issues or risks that arise.
    • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among project stakeholders.
    • Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
    • Implement Agile methodologies to improve project management processes and outcomes.
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing processes and systems.
    • Provide training and support to team members and end-users on new systems and processes.
    • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in manufacturing intelligence and project management.
    • Apply a structured planning approach and analysis to autonomously lead initiatives while evaluating progress, establishing project timelines and ownership, identifying measures of success, and ensuring results are realized.
    • Execute on various daily, weekly, and monthly tasks that are crucial to the advancement of the project including: scoping and executing programs, adjusting program strategy as needed and providing regular cadence of updates to senior leadership, acting as a business lead for projects when required.
    • Collaborate with leaders from the business, development, and operations across FBIN to continually identify data-driven opportunities, build cross-functional buy-in and commitment and deliver on innovative solutions to challenging operational problems
    • Understand the goals and initiatives of the overall business and be proactive in ensuring that they are addressed in each project.
    • Develop, monitor, and control project schedules with proactive risk mitigation and issue resolution.
    • Resolve conflicts between competing priorities of various functions and escalate to leadership when needed in a timely manner.
    • Identify, communicate, and mitigate risks and roadblocks within a program
    • Takes corrective actions as required to deliver complete scope, at desired quality, cost targets, on time and within budget for own projects. Effectively manage scope creep as needed.
    • Lead process improvement efforts that can benefit areas across the business
    • Ensure project deliverables and tasks are appropriately resourced
    • Assess, gain team consensus, and communicate project status to Senior Management
    • Facilitate communication across all business functions and external partners
    • Maintain strong relationships and trust throughout organization by building a cross-functional network of peers and leaders
    • Assist in the development, implementation, and upkeep of standard project management processes, reports, and tools.
    • Travel, as required (approx. 25%)
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Information Technology, or a related field.
    • 5-10 years of relevant project / program management experience, preferably within manufacturing and supply chain industries, plus specific functional area experience in construction management
    • Proven experience managing projects involving Manufacturing Intelligence Systems or similar technologies.
    • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and systems.
    • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
    • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Six Sigma Belt certification, Lean Sigma certification, or Lean experience preferred
    • Proven ability to achieve results through building partnerships and influence senior leaders, leading change without direct authority
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
    • Experience managing large capital projects and construction initiatives
    • Certification in Agile project management (e.g., Scrum Master, PMI-ACP) is preferred.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification.
    • Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
    • Knowledge of data analytics and business intelligence tools.
    • Broad supply chain experience, such as new product introduction, supply planning, demand management and forecasting, channel operations management
    • Experience with Problem Solving Methodologies & Value Stream Designing
    • Ability to think strategically and execute tactically with a hands-on spirit
    • Advanced conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
    • Good business judgment, exceptional communication skills and ability to resolve conflicts diplomatically
    • Ability to simply and clearly convey and communicate complex concepts
    • Broad business understanding and ability to apply to current issues
