The Quality Intern will assist with ISO 9001 compliance and document control processes. This role will focus on ensuring that company documents related to quality management are accurately managed, stored, and accessible. The intern will work with various department and manage documents, data systems, to help maintain the organization’s commitment to ISO standards.

• Assist with the creation, editing, and/or writing of simple work instructions to ensure clarity and compliance with ISO 9001 standards.
• Review MS Word documents and extract relevant data for processing and input.
• Enter documents and data into a document control system and ensure proper formatting for review and approval.
• Organize and categorize information in the database according to ISO 9001 standards and internal procedures.
• Maintain the accuracy and integrity of all documents and data during the transfer process to the document control system.
• Follow established procedures to ensure consistency, compliance, and alignment with ISO 9001 standards.
• Communicate with team members and department heads to clarify any issues or discrepancies related to data, document formatting, or compliance.
• Perform data validation to identify and correct any discrepancies or errors in documents and records.
• Maintain proper documentation practices to ensure all revisions and updates are clearly logged and tracked.
• Adhere to data security protocols and maintain confidentiality of sensitive documents and information.

Pay rate: $21/hr

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?

• Currently enrolled in a relevant degree program (e.g., Business Administration, Information Technology, Quality Management, or similar fields).

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel, and familiar with basic data entry processes.

• Strong attention to detail, with the ability to handle large volumes of documents and data while ensuring high levels of accuracy.

• Good organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

• Ability to work independently, as well as collaborate effectively within a team environment.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.

• Previous internship or work experience in data entry or document control is a plus (but not required).

• Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with document control systems and/or quality management systems (e.g., MQ1, ETQ, Quality Systems).
  • Experience with data management tools or platforms related to document control.
  • Knowledge of data validation and data cleaning techniques.
  • Understanding of ISO 9001 standards and document control processes is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets for data handling and reporting.
