THIS POSITION IS FOR SECOND SHIFT, MONDAY THROUGH THURSDAY FROM 2:30PM TO 1:00AM. (EVERY FRIDAY, SATURDAY AND SUNDAY OFF!!!)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Sets up and operates Digital Finishing Unit to produce pressure sensitive labels and related products by performing the following duties.

• Reads job specifications and selects correct coatings, dies, cores and rewind method for job.
• Perform quality check of printed materials to proof and job ticket for correct version and color matching.
• Adds proper coating or laminate to finisher, selects proper tooling for the job and installs them in the finisher.
• Measures and verifies the repeat for the specific job and enters the data into the finishers HMI.
• Accurately sets rotary die and blades on machine shaft according to width specified for strips.
• Mounts roll of printed material on machine supports and threads material.
• Checks the die cut for both registration and cutting depth.
• Observes flow of material through machine to detect irregular cutting and winding.
• Inspects product for print quality, flagging sub-standard product within finished rolls.
• Performs minor routine maintenance and adjustments on equipment as necessary.
• Keeps work areas clear and organized and maintains housekeeping standards.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• A minimum of one year of digital printing press experience
• While performing this job task, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk
