Calling all students... Start your career with GE Appliances!

We are looking for a student to join GE Appliances' Sales organization working with our Builder/Distributor sales channel. In this role, you will work with members of the Inside Sales team on a variety of different projects at GE Appliances' National Sales Center located in Louisville, Kentucky.

Upon graduation, you would have the opportunity to interview for our Commercial Development Program. The Commercial Development Program gives employees experience in both retail and contract sales channels before moving them to the field as an Area Sales Manager.

This is an immediate start co-op position working both during the summer and through next school year.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Successful candidate will provide value-added support in areas such as:

• Consumer research

• Analyzing industry trends

• Development of marketing and sales materials

• Communications

• Sales analytics

• Account set up

• Order entry

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Be enrolled in college pursuing a degree and have a minimum 3.0 GPA.

• Ability to work approximately 19 hours per week throughout school year and 40 hours per week over summer during normal business hours (Mon. - Fri. 8:00am - 5:00pm) at our National Sales Center in Louisville, KY.

• Due to year-round nature of position, candidate must be attending school in local area.

• Possess the ability to quickly develop functional knowledge of processes.

• Have excellent interpersonal skills and strong oral communication skills.

• Show strong internet and computer keyboard skills as well as proficient use of MS Excel and Word.

• Be detail-oriented and have a strong level of accountability.

• Be self-guided; able to work logically through daily issues.

• Possess a strong work ethic; able to meet deadlines.

• Be reliable; able to maintain high attendance standards

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Ideal candidate is a Junior or Senior, scheduled to graduate within the next 2 years.

Most positions are located in Louisville, KY (our Corporate HQ). Assignments are also available in Camden, SC; Decatur, AL; LaFayette, GA; Selmer, TN. Housing and relocation assistance is available for eligible students.
