MISSION / SUMMARY:
The Kalamazoo Board Mill is looking for an experienced, accomplished, self-motivated Reliability Engineer to maintain and support all mechanical systems across the mill. The ideal candidate is an inventive problem solver that is capable of working through technical challenges and employing pragmatic solutions. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a team that provides integrated services to meet our production goal of achieving 95% machine availability.

JOB FUNCTION: JOB FUNCTIONS INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING.
Ensures that proper safety practices are followed.
Lead the team that drives reliability best practices
Acting as expert knowledge in electrical and controls servicing
Generates cost estimates for work orders.
Acting as a liaison between internal customers, suppliers and contractors
Responsible to communicate with operations for efficient preventive maintenance and troubleshooting
Coordinates and manages vendors/contractors.
Capable of improving equipment and process reliability
Capable of working with a highly motivated team whose goal is excellence
Ensure efficient coordination of maintenance work
Available to facilitate repairs during unpredicted breakdowns.
Covers on-call and weekend duty rotation
BACKGROUND / EXPERIENCE:
EDUCATION / KNOWLEDGE:
3-5 year’s maintenance experience in pulp/paper mill preferred.
BACHELOR’S DEGREE PREFERRED.
SCHEDULE DEMANDS:
GENERAL SCHEDULE IS AN 8-HOUR M-F ASSIGNMENT, HOWEVER, EMPLOYEE MUST BE WILLING TO WORK ALTERNATE SCHEDULES OCCASIONALLY; THAT MAY INCLUDE EARLY MORNINGS, NIGHTS, AND/OR WEEKENDS AND BE PUNCTUAL WHILE DOING SO.
Occasional overnight travel to include flying, driving, riding or by rail.
