Ensures the facts regarding material rejection are clear and concise, chairs Material Review Board (MRB) meetings to complete an assessment and disposition of the affected material. Compiles and completes the documentation to support processing the material per the disposition determined. Major Duties/Responsibilities: -Investigates the cause of rejection with the initiator of the NC / NCR as appropriate. -Assigns disposition to rejected lots and includes all supporting documentation, pictures, and specifications assures justification rationale is complete and attached to the record. -Participates in identifying Root Cause Analysis of the nonconformance. -Requests missing documentation directly with Suppliers. -Coordinates dispositions with internal customers and Suppliers as necessary. -Performs inventory transactions to release material out of MRB and physically transfers to staging queue. -Applies Statistical Tools and Techniques to monitor Supplier Performance and provides feedback to Supplier Quality and Management teams. -Follows cGMPs and documentation with cross-references where appropriate. -Ensures proper material identification, segregation, and storage. -Performs quarterly cycle counts and/or inventory of Inspect and MRB location(s) as required. -Maintains timely flow of production material. -Works closely with members of Manufacturing, Distribution, Engineering, and Quality to ensure good communication and coordination of activities. -Continually seeks process improvements and make recommendations to Management. -Stays current with all assigned training requirements. -Performs other related duties as required. BASIC QUALIFICATONS: -2 years of experience in Quality and/or Incoming Inspection PREFERRED/DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: -Associates degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience in an applicable discipline -3+ years of direct Quality and/or Receiving Inspection experience -1+ year of experience in the Medical Device Industry -Proficient with Mechanical and Test Equipment (M&TE); calipers, micrometers, comparator, digital microscopes, Go/No-go gages, and Digital Multimeter -Intermediate PC skills (Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook) -Follows Quality Management System policies, procedures, and work instructions -Demonstrated attention to detail and organization -Effective communication and writing skills -Proactive, professional, self-starter and able to work well in teams of various cultures and backgrounds -Must be proficient in all areas of Inspection (Receiving, Receiving Inspection, FAI, PCBA, Mechanical, Corrugated, and Final) -Proficient with Mechanical and Test Equipment (M&TE); calipers, micrometers, comparator, digital microscopes, Go/No-go gages, and Digital Multimeter -IPC-A-600, IPC-A-610, or IPC/WHMA-A-620 experience -IPC-A-600, IPC-A-610, or IPC/WHMA-A-620 experience -Familiar with Society of Plastic Industry (SPI) Cosmetic Specifications -Lean Manufacturing: Kaizen and 5S Working Conditions: -Requires lifting up to 35 pounds and more with assistance -Frequent standing, sitting, lifting and reaching overhead -Significant use of standard office equipment, including computer keyboard, monitor, and mouse -Fast-paced manufacturing and warehouse environment -Requires own reliable transportation to travel between Redmond and Bothell -Overtime may be required Work From Home: No Travel Percentage: None Stryker Corporation is an equal opportunity employer.
