Job Description
As a Technician in the WDC Fremont Analytical Laboratory, you will be entrusted with the critical responsibility of supporting manufacturing, PE, and R&D through meticulous routine analysis in wet chemistry. This position demands a comprehensive understanding of laboratory instrument operation and exceptional troubleshooting skills. Your duties will extend to conducting rigorous incoming chemical analysis, precise bath makeup/adjustment, and diligent instrument PM/Calibration.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
This position necessitates an individual with exceptional attention to detail and self-motivation. A thorough understanding of laboratory safety protocols and chemical handling procedures is mandatory. The role requires the consistent use of personal protective equipment and the ability to work in cleanroom environments, adhering to all associated protocols.
Candidates must possess the flexibility to work a 12-hour Day Shift (Sunday- Tuesday, and every other Wednesday from 5:00 AM to 5:00 PM) and be prepared to work overtime as necessitated by operational demands. The position involves significant periods of standing and walking, and the ability to routinely lift 5lbs and occasionally up to 20lbs. Once trained, the successful candidate will be expected to operate with minimal oversight, demonstrating high levels of autonomy and responsibility.
