Responsibilities include the following: - Resolves manufacturing and technical problems and assists in the implementation of new or revised processes to eliminate waste. Assists in the implementation of Lean principles and technologies. - Develop, implement and maintain various manufacturing plans, Bill of Materials, work instructions and illustrations to define and document as-built configuration. - Develops manufacturing concepts and strategies to support business objectives. - Develops and integrates suppliers, processes, materials, data and technology to meet manufacturing and delivery requirements. - Reviews and approves supplier data to ensure manufacturing related requirements are met. - Develops tooling requirements based on manufacturing and engineering requirements. - Manages tools from initial design to end of use disposition. Investigates and resolves manufacturing related issues. - Performs producibility assessments for part or product designs. - Provides producibility input to design, manufacturing processes and manufacturing technologies to meet cost and schedules. - Develops integrated work statements and sequencing of events to support delivery commitments. - Drafts, updates and reviews processes and procedures to support business and regulatory agency requirements. - Participates as a member of an Integrated Product Team (IPT) in the integration of technical solutions. Qualifications Basic Qualifications (required skills and experience): - Minimum 3 years of experience as a manufacturing planner. - 3+ years Microsoft Office suite experience. - This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a US Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. US Person includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee Typical Education / Experience: AA degree in related discipline and typically 3 or more years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred Experience: - 3+ years Assembly Detail Process Plan (ADPP) experience. - 3+ years experience with Product Data Manager (PDM), Computer Aided Process Planning (CAPP), ENOVIA, CATIA and Common Manufacturing Execution System (CMES). - 3+ years of experience interpreting BCA engineering drawings, specifications and standards. - 6+ months of experience fabricating or machining aerospace or automotive parts. - Ability to learn in a fast-paced production environment. - Willingness to work variable shifts and overtime as needed to support production.
