This individual will work out of our Corporate Headquarters in Shelton, CT. They will support recruiting efforts in 7 states (CT, NY, MA, VT, ME, MI, IA) and at over 80 locations. The HR Recruiter will be responsible for collaborating with hiring managers in order to create sourcing, interviewing, and on-boarding plans for all open positions. Typical openings include CDL-A drivers, warehouse workers/ laborers, field service personnel, redemption center (retail) supervisors and workers. This position will require some regional travel (up to 20-25% of the time) Requirements/Responsibilities: * Partner with hiring managers to determine staffing needs and create job postings * Develop and update job descriptions and job specifications * Build applicant sources by researching and contacting community services, colleges, employment agencies, recruiters, media, and internet sites * Uses traditional and nontraditional resources, such as career fairs, job fairs, community networking events to identify and attract qualified candidates * Lead the creation of a recruiting and interviewing plan for each open position * Screen resumes and interviews candidates (by phone or in person) to filter candidates * Assess applicants relevant knowledge, skills, soft skills, and experience * Deliver employment offers and facilitate the pre-employment paperwork process * Utilize social media sites to advertise for open positions and ensure high visibility with potential candidates * Develop a pool of qualified candidates in advance of need * Manage candidate activity in applicant tracking system (or manually) * Analyze turnover and retention rates to forecast hiring needs * Provide analytical and well documented recruiting reports * Serve as the liaison between the company and the outside recruiting agencies to fill direct placement, temporary and temp to perm positions
