Position Summary:
We are looking for a Transportation Supervisor to join our team. In this role, you’ll play a pivotal role in coordinating the daily routing and operations of our delivery vehicles while supporting our Delivery Service Representatives (DSRs), ensuring the timely, professional, and efficient delivery, setup, and breakdown of products at various venues, enhancing the overall client experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist the Director of Transportation and Transportation Manager with daily operations and responsibilities.
Oversee and manage paperwork related to deliveries and pickups.
Serve as the main point of contact for drivers, sales teams, and other departments, handling incoming calls and emails.
Coordinate with Accounts Receivable regarding missing items and discrepancies.
Perform daily cash drawer reconciliation.
Prepare and distribute will-call sheets and short-pull lists.
Provide exceptional customer service at will call, assisting with order loading and retrieval.
Coordinate shipments, including packaging, and ensure distribution to room managers.
Review daily reports and monitor inventory levels, working closely with the Inventory & Purchasing Department on shortages.
Manage the routing and scheduling of deliveries, communicating driver schedules effectively for the next business day.
Arrange outside freight shipments when required.
Respond to transportation-related inquiries from other departments.
Track and submit receipts for IFTA reporting and filing.
Maintain truck maintenance schedules and coordinate repairs internally and with Penske.
Assign vehicles and routes based on a variety of factors, ensuring efficiency and safety.
Identify areas for process improvement and submit actionable suggestions.
Attend to and oversee daily Roadnet activities.
Manage distribution of keys, record sheets, and credentials to drivers.
Maintain constant communication with drivers to ensure timely deliveries.
Keep detailed records of mileage, fuel usage, repairs, and expenses.
Provide support and assistance to drivers when needed.
Allocate helpers to drivers as needed.
Assist with loading and unloading trucks as required, including both company and outside freight vehicles.
Monitor will-call orders and shipment changes via SAGE.
Perform emergency, same-day deliveries when necessary using company vehicles.
Assign and manage DSR after-hours shifts and schedules.
Input and adjust DSR hours into ADP.
Document and send addendums to Accounts Receivable.
Foster a collaborative team environment, promoting cooperation and teamwork.

Perform additional duties as required.
Work Conditions:
Primarily office with some warehouse exposure - some areas of the warehouse may not be heated or air-conditioned.
Outdoor exposure may occur during the workday.
Hot and cold extremes may be experienced in the warehouse.
Prioritize safety when operating potentially hazardous equipment, with appropriate safety measures in place.
Handle all chemicals with care.
Expect physical demands including bending, lifting, and repetitive movements.

Schedule:
Department coverage Monday – Saturday within the hours of 6:00am-7:00pm.
5-day workweek (Monday – Friday or Tuesday – Saturday).
Required Saturday shift 1 to 2 times per month.
Shift is 10 hours long during peak season.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Proficiency in the English language (both written and verbal) is required.
Strong mathematical skills, including the ability to work with fractions, percentages, and ratios.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, SharePoint, SAGE, Roadnet, and Motive.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to actively listen and follow up as needed.
Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Approachable, proactive, and professional demeanor.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a high degree of accuracy.
Good judgment when identifying issues, escalating concerns, and prioritizing tasks.
Ability to work independently with oversight and collaboratively with others.
Capable of meeting deadlines and managing tasks within set time frames.
Ability to interpret and follow various types of instructions.
Able to regularly lift and move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 75 pounds.
Must complete a Behavioral and Cognitive Assessment through the Predictive Index.
