Tasks General Maintenance positions are responsible for keeping machinery running to maintain continuous production. Candidates must be able set up, adjust and break down Feed Mill machinery. Must be able willing to read, write, and communicate effectively. Must be able willing to use math as needed to make work related computations for machinery, fluid capacities, etc. Standing, walking, bending, stretching, climbing, pushing, pulling, kneeling, squatting, reaching, and lifting 70lbs on a daily basis are required. Must be able to work on your feet for a period up to 12 hours or more on a daily basis. Must be willing to complete all required training for the job. Applicant needs to be comfortable with working up to 120ft off of the ground. Applicants must be willing to stand, walk, bend, stretch, climb, push, pull, kneel, squat, and reach. Team Members who hold these positions must be willing to work in either cold, damp or hot, humid environments and these areas may have slippery walking surfaces. Team Members who hold these positions work out doors in extreme heat and or cold conditions and also requires driving during inclement weather and areas of operation may have slippery walking surfaces. Requirements Applicants who have worked for Tyson before may be considered for rehire up to three times if they meet the location s rehire criteria. Applicants will not be considered prior to 1 year post previous Tyson employment. Maintenance Mechanic applicants must possess Industrial Technology degree or a degree in a related field, or a minimum of 3 years of Industrial Maintenance experience. Pay Scale $17.08 - $24.40 based on Skills and Qualifications.
