M&PT Engineer -SaveBusinessesUTC Aerospace SystemsJob ID62707BRDate posted03/13/2018CityOpa LockaStateFloridaCountryUS Area of Expertise: M&PT engineer has the responsibility for all the special processes (Chemical and surface processed) and technical direction of the chemical laboratory at the facility. This person will ensure that the special processes on-site meet the requirements given in Component Maintenance Manual (CMM) or Technical Order (TO) for the programs. M&PT Engineer will also work with Operations to develop, modify, qualify and troubleshoot various chemical and surface processes. This position will also work with various stakeholders to create the local work instructions for the special processes that comply with CMM requirements. This position will also act as a consultant for NADCAP and other customer audits. Typical Roles/Area of Focus Incumbents responsibility will generally focus on Chemical Processing, Surface Engineering and chemical testing. -Interpret the intent in CMM for a particular special process and implement it in Production. -Approve the technique sheets and data sheets associated with all chemical processing steps. -Interface with customers directly on various aspect of the special process. This may require submission of deviation requests with associated justification. -Write work instructions for various special processes that cover the requirements of all programs in the document. -Support internal manufacturing operations in special processing by laboratory testing, process troubleshooting, training, process development and qualification -Ensure that all the chemical testing and monthly process control (MPC) tests are acceptable. In case of failures, lead the root-cause investigation and implement necessary corrective actions. -Support Quality during NADCAP and other audits covering the chemical and surface processes. -Ability to support/lead capital projects regarding chemical and surface processing -Work closely with M&PT, North America to implement new special processes within Miami facility -Work closely with M&PT, North America to ensure OE changes are evaluated to determine if it is needed in the Miami facility. -Support product and process improvements.
