Job Description Calibration (we will train): Use sophisticated test equipment to verify and certify the accuracy of customer test and measurement equipment, and document the results using software/database systems; requires great care to manage technical information accurately and thoroughly on electronic documentation. Our training program will ensure that you are ready with all of the skills needed. We will train you how to calibrate a wide array of test and measurement instruments from various disciplines including but not limited to dimensional, mechanical, electrical, thermodynamic, force, and time devices. We will also train you on the scientific theory behind the measurements, job management, safety requirements, how to work within a structured quality management system, customer service and other professional skills. You will progress through our training and graduate from working in our laboratory to a Support Field Technician and then become a Lead Field Technician when you are ready to lead others and control the entire job at a customer facility. You will be exposed to the manufacturing world by working in the field at the facilities of our customers throughout Southern California. You will work inside the facilities of many of the worlds leading manufacturers in aerospace, medical device, consumer electrical, and many other industries. Our customers include Oakley, Raytheon, Rolls Royce, Ricoh, Schneider Electric, Parker Hannifin, Pentair, and hundreds more. Other possible assignments may be available when/if practical including but not limited to assisting our Internal Engineering Support team or logistical support roles. Schedule Full Time. Requirements/Qualifications Successful Applicants will possess the following qualities: * High School Diploma. * 2+ years work experience or equivalent technical training. * Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions to prepare accurate documents. * Strong written and verbal English communication skills. * Computer skills (Microsoft Office, web browser, and proprietary software). * Punctual. * Can handle several activities that are occurring at the same time such as technical work, documentation, and customer interaction, and complete them on time. * Reliable vehicle for traveling to onsite jobs. * Ability to lift 50 lbs. * Legally eligible to work in the United States. * Prior data entry / calibration / machining / QC / engineering / science / related technical experience or training strongly valued but not required.
