Ranch Guide Guides big game hunts on the Diamond K Ranch in such a manner that adheres to safety guidelines, equipment upkeep, and guest services of the highest level. Represents the company in presentation and hospitality to the guests of the Ranch. * Guides big game hunts for customers as directed by the Manager Big Game. * Follows short and long-term health and maintenance programs for all big game animals. * Assists Manager Big Game with ensuring the health and well-being of all big game species on the ranch, and the following the methods necessary to properly maintain a healthy environment. * Assists Manager Big Game with maintenance of scientific breeding pens for white tail deer on property in accordance with the Texas Parks & Wildlife Departments rules and regulations. * Assists Manager Big Game with maintenance of white tail deer harvest books throughout the season. * Assists Manager Big Game with properly tagging and recording all new births and separating the animals at the proper age before they are released into the general population. * Maintains the shooting sports complex. * Ensures the safety practices of all shotgun sports are followed. * Operates farm and ranch equipment as needed, and performs routine grounds maintenance, including clearing land, shredding, mowing, etc. This position is salaried exempt status, which means you are not eligible for overtime pay. * High school diploma or GED required. * One year of landscaping experience and/or experience guiding big game hunts required. * Bachelors degree in Wildlife Management or related area preferred. Position level and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
