Job Description
Western Digital’s Summer Internship is an intensive, exciting opportunity to join our Flash organization. Interns will take on challenging projects and solve complex problems to help drive the company forward. Roles in this program vary from Product Strategy, Strategic Business Planning, Data Analytics, Marketing, and other related roles. Throughout the 12-week summer, interns will also participate in:
1:1 mentorship
Development trainings
Executive exposure
Social and networking events
Western Digital relies heavily on the MBA summer internship to fill full-time positions for the Leadership Development Rotation Program. This program offers recent MBA graduates the opportunity to experience a diverse set of roles within the Flash organization while also developing technical and leadership skills. The goal is to foster a community of future leaders in the company by giving talented MBAs the opportunity to drive impactful work, expand their network and develop the skills that enable them to be successful. Members immediately join a close-knit cohort of MBAs that drive the direction of the program and have a lot of fun along the way with regular coffee chats, happy hours, and events.
The work location will be based at our US Office in Milpitas, CA.
Qualifications
Qualifications
3+ years of work experience
Currently enrolled in an accredited university pursuing an MBA with a targeted graduation date of May 2025
Strong quantitative and analytical skills
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to create and deliver effective presentations for senior management.
Ability to work both independently and in large, cross-functional team settings and display prioritization, time management and organization skills.
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Ability to self-start projects and operate in ambiguity.
An ideal candidate has intellectual curiosity, is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates leadership capabilities in past experiences, and can influence change.
Preferred Experience
Undergraduate degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Physics, Data Science, or other STEM focused degree) *
Prior work experience in semiconductor industry* or consulting
SQL, Python, Power BI, Excel
