Legal Intern, Summer 2018 (547048) -| -Requisition NumberAMER12446 -Employment TypeFull-time -LocationWarsaw -Job SummaryPosition will provide an opportunity to gain hands-on experience related to areas of the legal department; specifically in the areas of liability, litigation and marketing team support. -Principal Duties and Responsibilities1.Support paralegals, attorneys, and administrative team members with various legal responsibilities; including but not limited to: Research assignments Organization of resource materials Delivery/pick up of confidential corporate documents 2.Assist with the coordination of gathering material and documentation for the litigation process; including but not limited to: Copying production Filing confidential lawsuit materials Gathering subpoena & litigation documentation Organizing all litigation documents 3.Attend meetings with Biomet legal staff 4.Create and modify documents using Microsoft Office, Excel and PowerPoint. 5.Perform related duties as required. -Expected Areas of CompetenceRequires the ability to Work well in a team environment throughout various departments in the organization. Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to write simple correspondence. -Education/Experience RequirementsCollege student preferably law school student; or one to three months work experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Student is required to uphold a high level of confidentiality of all work performed. Microsoft Office experience, as well as general typing and computer skills are necessary. Desire to further education and career in a legal, marketing or legal-related field is preferred. -Additional InformationTasks involve the ability to exert light physical effort in sedentary to light work, but may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling of objects and materials of weight up to 25 pounds.
