  • Responsibilities

    GMR Marketing, the nation’s leader in promotional marketing, is hiring a Full-time Nightlife Manager for a tobacco client. This individual will be responsible for Buffalo market and the surrounding areas.

    This program will be activating from – Mid July 2016 to Dec 2016.

    Position Duties and Responsibilities:

    • The Nightlife Manager (NM) will develop a working knowledge of the local bar universe and identifies venues whose populations are appropriate to support the Nightlife Program.

    • The NM establishes a relationship with the venue owners to be able to negotiate and contract the venue for execution. The NM must ensure that the scope of the contracted venues is adequate enough to produce the designated Nightlife Program goals.

    • The NM is responsible for overseeing and managing between 1 Senior Brand Ambassador (SBA) and their teams of Brand Ambassadors (BAs), by providing them with the guidance and tools necessary to execute the program efficiently.

    • The NM should be prepared to assume the duties of the SBA as needed.

    • The NM holds ultimate responsibility for the success of the market and all program related materials such as tracking and maintaining proper amounts of inventory.

    • The NM is also responsible for managing and evaluating the growth of their Market and Team(s). This includes the ability to evaluate, coach and develop performance plans for each SBA and BA as well as successfully running and cultivating their market and team’s growth potential

    • The position also requires the NM to regularly attend program trainings to keep up to date on current and relevant promotions and information related to their position. This position requires some travel.

    • The NM will also complete all other duties as assigned by GMR corporate staff.

    Ability to identify and develop Senior Brand Ambassadors and Brand Ambassadors, successfully manage staff growth and retention, drive advancement and training while keeping with the high standards of the Nightlife program

    Gathers and analyzes information, identifies goals, explores and selects solutions, implements action plans and evaluates results

    • Time Management/Priority Setting.

    Allocates and prioritizes their time efficiently and to the most important issues, completes work in a timely fashion and ensures the same performance from their entire team

    Represents GMR Marketing and the Nightlife Program in a professional manner at all times

    • Adaptability.

    Ability to adapt or evolve with changing or shifting priorities while still meeting or exceeding expected goals

    Directs behavior to emphasize the achievement of program and individual goals as well as core values of the Nightlife Program

  • Qualifications

    All Nightlife Managers must meet the following requirements:

    • Be at least 21 years of age

    • Be able to submit to and pass a criminal background check and drug screen

    • Have reliable transportation and the ability to provide proof of auto insurance

    • Wear appropriate uniform when required

    • Attend all mandatory Manager and Brand Ambassador trainings

    • Comprehensive knowledge of computers with average to above average skills in programs like Windows, Excel, Word, and Email

    • Strong Communication, interpersonal, and organization skills are essential, as well as the ability to prioritize and multi-task

    Educational and Work Experience Requirements:

    • High school diploma or GED

    • Two years of post high school education is required

    • A Bachelor’s Degree in a related field is preferred

    • Two years of industry experience is required

    • Three years of industry experience is preferred
