Ogilvy & Mather is looking for a Client Finance Analyst to assist in providing financial support to client account teams and monitoring the finances & budgets related to client work and projects.
You will report to the Client Finance Manager, and join a team of passionate professionals dedicated to providing accurate reporting and information to clients and internal business units.
Job responsibilities include assisting in the creation of budgets and client staffing plans, job estimates, ensuring adherence to contract billing policies, providing summaries of monthly billing and reconciliations, and assisting with financial analysis and reporting as needed.

Responsibilities:
Provide financial support to client account teams and monitor client budgets on a project basis
Provide financial information to various departments and clients as required
Provide monthly P&L reports and financial analysis in the review of results and summary of monthly billings and reconciliation
Forecast and perform annual budget preparation
Manage all client facing staffing plans, and provide support to account teams utilizing our staff planning tool, PPM.
Assist in the creation and cataloguing of job estimates, budgets, SOW’s, and client staffing plans, including calculating fees for client staffing plans
Assume role of primary financial contact for account team and resource manager on assigned client business
Generate professional financial reports for review with clients as directed by account team
Provide complete journal entries, time entry transfers, and invoicing instructions
Reconcile labor hours on client projects
Secure client P.O. or necessary work/payment authorizations and ensure adherence to contract billing policies and workflow procedures, as well as monitor accounts receivable status and follow-up on aged balances with client
Participate in the coordination and submission of all internal and external periodic reporting to Corp Headquarters and/or parent company (actuals, budgets, re-forecasts, balance sheet variance analyses, interest, foreign currency, special year end reporting items/YE reporting packages)
Prepare journal entries in relation to month end close, and provide quarterly time reporting to clients within the North America region
Assist in inter-company payables and receivables
Assist in all internal and external Audits
Participate in any and all Sarbanes Oxley initiatives
Perform reconciliations and analyses of key accounts and coordinate activities with the treasury and accounts payable department
Participate in Ad Hoc projects as assigned.
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required
1-3 years of related financial analysis and/or accounting experience, preferably within an advertising, marketing, PR or service industry environment.
Solid knowledge of accounting (Balance Sheet, A/R, P&Ls, etc.) and a thorough understanding of accounting principles is crucial
