    Position: Associate Editor - Editor hub

    Position Type: Full Time

    Location: Detroit, MI, or remote for the right candidate

    This is an opportunity to make an impact and play a key role in the growth of a top-50 financial publisher. We are hiring an associate editor to join our team to help drive subscriptions, traffic and advertising at Benzinga.

We live and breathe Benzinga, and our job is to spread the news like a grass fire and bring you the most engaging content possible.

    You will have a direct hand in creating content seen by millions.

    You will work with writers, investment professionals and business leads to develop and curate compelling and engaging content for our audience and subscribers. Your primary duties will include content strategy, editing, analyzing readership data, evaluating competitors, and crafting compelling copy for readers and marketers alike.

    High Level:

    The Editor will be responsible for handling multiple content types as part of our newly launched “Editor Hub.”

    The Hub consists of accomplished editors with backgrounds in breaking news, analytical investing content, copywriting, marketing, and monetized features. The associate editor will need to be able to navigate a fast-paced environment, switching between content types seamlessly. One second you could be reframing top stock ideas from our top subscription services, the next you'll be publishing exclusive scoops and breaking news. The ideal candidate can manage multiple content types and guidelines, while staying true to AP style. You'll need to be technology forward, and expected to embrace AI and other analytical tools to develop the best experience. .

    What you'll be doing:

    1. Helping to grow Benzinga's authentic voice by keyword research, creating memorable content across social media, advertising, email newsletters, influencer outreach and more
    2. Ensure Benzinga is covering all relevant news of the day and that they are displayed correctly in order of priority
    3. Overseeing the content creation process from writing through editing and publishing
    4. Managing the ‘talent' - reporters, traders, and seasoned investment professionals
    5. Plan and approve assignments for writers and editors

    Stuff you need to get this gig:

    1. 3 years+ in journalism, marketing, or copywriting. Years as an editor a plus
    2. Exceptional ability in copywriting and editing
    3. 3 years in planning and coordinating people and operations
    4. Outstanding communication skills and achievement as a team player
