Flyers Social Media/Design Intern (Fall 2018) Location US-PA-Philadelphia Job ID 2018-3563 Group Philadelphia Flyers Location Name Wells Fargo Center Category Graphics/Creative Services Type Intern Overview Flyers Social Media/Design intern will be working alongside the digital media team in promoting the Philadelphia Flyers through business initiatives and content. The internship position includes but is not limited to research of team content, editorial content, and graphic design. Interns will gain experiential learning in the sports industry. Candidates must be able to collaborate on projects, take direction/critique, and manage workload in a timely manner. The ideal candidate would demonstrate the ability to manage multiple projects from inception to completion in a fast-paced environment. Part-time and full-time internships are available. Both office hours (M-F 9-5) and game days/nights are required. Responsibilities Research of content in social media and sports Participate in the operation of game night promotions and web content Design graphics for web and other marketing media. Participate in marketing planning meetings and prepare summary of action items as required. Assist with department administrative functions as necessary Meet company deadlines and deliverables on time Think conceptually, understand brand strategy, and apply to all areas of projects. Perform all other duties and responsibilities as assigned Qualifications Only college students (Juniors, Seniors and Graduate) will be considered. Background in Digital Media, Graphic Design, Marketing, Social Media Analytics is preferred Strong leadership skills and exceptional organizational skills Strong visual design skills (good sense of balance, grid, color, typography, etc.) Deadline-driven with a strong sense of priority and follow-through Professional demeanor and energetic personality Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite preferred Proficiency in HTML, After Effects, Final Cut, CMS tools, Java Script, or other Web Design is a plus Copywriting and editing skills are a plus Working knowledge of the NHL, specifically the Philadelphia Flyers a bonus Interns also must have the ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative, in addition to being able to handle multiple tasks and prioritize. Housing arrangements are the responsibility of the students.
