DEPT OVERVIEW: The team is responsible for planning and implementing strategic initiatives that drive long-term customer value via a more personalized, 1:1 approach to marketing. POSITION SUMMARY and DESCRIPTION: The Marketing Strategy Intern will play a critical role in driving high visibility initiatives aimed at growing engagement and revenue through increased relevancy to the customer. The intern will be responsible for developing, executing and measuring marketing strategies toward this end. RESPONSIBILITIES: Strategy and Analytics * Identify and develop strategies to advance our key initiatives, primarily within the email marketing channel. Includes defining objectives, strategies, tactics, measurement plan, timing and business case. * Execute on these strategies, in partnership with email execution and creative/campaign management work partners * Analyze data to identify the impact of strategic programs and make recommendations for future * Conduct comprehensive analyses of personalized marketing in the marketplace and present findings and recommendations to key stakeholders * Assist with other initiatives within CRM Marketing as time allows and interest dictates. Could include strategic planning, execution, or analytics projects within Email and Direct Mail channels. Program Management and Communications * Coordinate and actively manage project plans across a very dynamic set of workstreams * Develop and deliver communications to senior level stakeholders, ranging from project updates to strategy proposals * Collaborate with team members and cross-functional partners, like Integrated Marketing and General Management. QUALIFICATIONS FOR POSITION: Key Skills and Experience: * 1st or 2nd year MBA student at an accredited university * 3+ years of experience in Marketing with a strong track-record of increasing responsibility * Solid understanding of ecommerce and online marketing * Experience in B2C marketing and/or retail industry is a plus * Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills required. Able to leverage data to make decisions. * Comfortable partnering with and influencing both senior-level stakeholders and peers * Flexible and results-oriented, with a willingness to shift plans if necessary to meet goals SPECIFIC SKILLS REQUIRED: * Excellent verbal/written communication skills, with experience crafting Power Point presentations * Strong analytical skillset, including intermediate to advanced Excel skills * Strong project management skills, with the ability to scope project details and manage multiple projects simultaneously
