    The Learning & Performance Trainer (Americas) reports directly to the Learning & Performance Manager (Americas). This full-time position will be based in USA and is accountable for the Global creation, coordination and delivery of learning programmes and performance tools (e.g. SuccessFactors) across the Americas region of Informa’s Global Exhibition’s (GE) Division

    Working within a small team, the role will require the ability to have a hands-on approach in creating and supporting the wider GE learning plan. This varied role would particularly suit candidates who would relish the opportunity to use their established skills on a range of accountabilities and learning topics.     Informa’s GE division has been growing significantly year on year, through a mixture of both organic and non-organic growth, now making it not only the highest performing revenue generating division within Informa, but also the number one exhibition organiser by revenue globally. This rapid growth and commercial investment over a short time has now created the need for a Manager to underpin the uniformity that GE is moving towards.

    ROLE PURPOSE To support and enable Informa’s Americas Global Exhibition Division through:

    1. Analysing and identifying key learning requirements across the Americas region.
    2. Designing and delivering learning solutions that immediately enable application back in the work environment.
    3. Continually evaluating the learning to ensure it is fit for purpose.
    4. Supporting the performance process to ensure the necessary knowledge, skills and behaviours are embedded.
    5. Contributing to the effective administration, enabling key reporting down to an individual level.

     

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    Analyse & Develop

    • Work closely with the Learning & Performance Manager (Americas) and the Global Exhibition’s HRBP team to identify learning needs across the Americas.
    • Work collaboratively across the Americas business and in partnership with key stakeholders to design and update training materials and procedures in alignment with business requirements.
    • As needed, liaise with external suppliers to ensure a high-quality offering and learner experience.
    • Manage key activity and relationships in assigned areas of responsibility, including coaching, development planning, and learning interventions.
    • Support wider learning and performance projects that may require a global approach.

    Design & Delivery

    • Design and deliver a variety of learning solutions (Webinars, Classroom, E-Learning etc.) related to match the identified needs (e.g. Management, Sales, Soft or Technical skills etc.).
    • Assist with the implementation and communication of the learning programmes.

    • Evaluate learning impact

    • Maintain administration to ensure learning related tasks are evaluated and reported on.
    • Assist Managers across the business with team member reviews and development by providing relevant feedback on any learning undertaken as well as the outcome of any further needs.

    Compliance and statutory training

    • Work with colleagues to support co-ordination and delivery to ensure that all statutory Health and Safety and HR modules are completed in accordance with the on-boarding process.

    Self-develop

    • Ensure your own Continual Professional Development (CPD) is relevant and in place.

    Required Skills

    SKILLS

    • Must have 3+ years previous training design and delivery experience in a complex working environment.
    • Must have proven ability to effectively influence at all levels of the organization.
    • Must have a strong collaboration mindset to create engagements across multiple levels of stakeholders.
    • Must be an expert facilitator who has delivered training to all levels within large complex organisations.
    • Experience working within an Exhibitions environment would be an advantage.
    • Experience in Sales, creating e-learning content, training SAP SuccessFactors and administrating LinkedIn Learning would be an advantage.
    • Degree or equivalent relevant experience
    • Salesforce Trailhead qualification preferred
