    PROGRAM OVERVIEW

    The Edge Program is on the edge of technology and business. The Edge Program is a rotational program within Technology & Global Services (TGS) where early-career professionals are empowered through immersive learning, focused on technology enabled business solutions. TGS encompasses Information Technology, Business Process, Shared Services and EPMO. This vision is achieved through targeted recruitment of entry-level associates through key Campus Partnerships and a robust Internship Program.

    Edge Program Associates perform 3 Rotations (1 Year Each) in a variety of functional areas within TGS. These assignments over the course of three years provide an exciting and diverse combination of challenges, where associates are expected to make a measurable business impact while learning TGS processes and technology. Associates are able to leverage a support network of experienced TGS Leaders and a clear process for Post-Program Placement within the organization!

    THE EDGE PROGRAM EXPERIENCE IS ENRICHED WITH:

    • Business Impact - Edge Program associates work on challenging and significant assignments that add business value across BD.

    • Diversity - Edge Program associates have the opportunity to rotate to different teams and locations.

    • Coaching and Development - Advisers and Managers provide the Edge Program with career guidance and advice throughout the Program.

    • Leadership Visibility - The Edge Program is directly sponsored by the Chief Information Officer (CIO).

    • Shape and Influence - Edge Program associates have the opportunity to shape and influence the program through participation on Edge Program committees.

    The goal of the program is to enhance BD’s organizational vitality by developing a pipeline of associates that are ready, willing, and able to assume leadership positions across a wide variety of Technology & Global Services disciplines.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Must be a current graduating Senior or Graduate Student (graduating Spring 2023) with a degree in Management Information Systems, Information Technology, Data Science, Business Analytics, Industrial Engineering, or other Business/Technology related major

    • Prior internship or Co-op experience in Information Technology, or related field

    • Demonstrated technical proficiency and strong leadership skills

    • Ability to learn quickly, deal with ambiguity, take initiative and achieve results

    • Excellent written and oral communication skills

    • Proven organization and time management skills

    • Willingness to relocate as needed to pursue rotational opportunities

    • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction as to duration.

    All first year Edge Program associates will start in Franklin Lakes at our Global Corporate Headquarters. Second and third rotations may have the opportunity to relocate to another BD location, contingent on local COVID-19 health and safety protocols. In such cases, a relocation stipend will be given.
