GENERAL SUMMARY
Under direct supervision and guidance, this position will provide hands on experience in supply chain planning by working in a dynamic environment for a leading global medical device company. This position is for the semester starting in July 2023 through December 2023 and will be on site at the Warwick, RI office.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
As a co-op in the Supply Chain Department, you will provide support and customer service for internal cross-functional teams while following BD Supply Chain and Corporate procedures. This individual will assist in areas of supply chain planning including product forecasting, product supply planning, capacity planning, annual budgeting, execution oversight, and monitoring and reporting of results. In addition, this individual will gain exposure to international business, product development, QA/RA systems, and commercial strategy.
The Supply Chain co-op will also participate in weekly and monthly supply chain team meetings, quarterly all employee meetings, attend other company meetings, and will have the opportunity to participate in several one on one meetings with leadership to discuss career options in the medical device field.

DUTIES INCLUDE:
Responsible for implementing and standardizing reporting to support the Supply Chain team and distribute them to key stakeholders.
Process mapping with recommendations on efficiencies in areas of operations and supply chain and present findings to Supply Chain Leadership.
Support all supply chain activities of assigned products.
Collaborate with other supply chain functions and regional partners.
Perform analysis during issue resolution or scenario planning.
Special projects as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
In order to be eligible for a Supply Chain Co-Op position, the candidate must be enrolled in an accredited college/institution and be in good academic standing pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Operations, or a related field.
Only students in their sophomore year or later will be considered.
A minimum GPA of 3.0 is required (or 4.0 for those enrolled in programs with a 5.0 scale).
The student must be available to work during the session indicated (July 2023 through December 2023) and demonstrate leadership/participation in campus programs and/or community service activities.
SPECIALIZED SKILLS:
Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
Must have the ability to work on several projects simultaneously
Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment of accountability
Must be able to analyze data/make data-based recommendations
Strong organizational skills and detail oriented
Proficiency of Microsoft Office Software applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) and web-based systems.
