Major Duties (Job Description)

• You will work on a team managing the Defense Travel System (DTS) for Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Pacific personnel.
• You will collaborate with colleagues to resolve moderately complex tasks that necessitate effective internal coordination and teamwork.
• You will ensure compliance with the Joint Travel Regulations (JTR) and seek management guidance as needed.
• You will review travel requests and offering reliable guidance to employee’s routine travel matters.
• You will audit and verify all travel vouchers for accuracy, entitlements, completeness and compliance with travel regulations.
• You will ensure that tickets, rental car reservations, and itineraries issued by the contracted travel service office align with authorized travel.

Qualification Summary

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Process and review Defense Travel System (DTS) documents for compliance with regulations and manage the Government Travel Card program.
