    Major Duties (Job Description)

    • You will serve as an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Specialist.
    • You will ensure that command-wide programs are conducted in accordance with the requirements of law and regulations.
    • You will participate in the development and oversight of policies, programs, procedures, and actions to ensure equal opportunity for over 10,000 civilian personnel.
    • You will work to monitor progress in achieving annual plan goals and objectives throughout the year.
    • You will provide guidance and feedback, evaluate submissions, and analyze data from various field activities.
    • You will assist in the dissemination of Department of Navy and EEO policies, procedures, interpretations, guidelines and reporting requirements to implement and comply with governing laws ad regulation.
    • You will recommend long-range plans, goals, and objectives as well as any necessary corrective action of program changes.

    Qualification Summary

    Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 or DP-02 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Conducting data and trend analysis of workforce data; conducting barrier analysis to identify employment policies, practices, or procedures that may negatively impact equal employment opportunity; and drafting or writing the command's EEO Program Status Report (MD-715 report).
