  • Responsibilities

    Major Duties (Job Description)

    • You will serve as the Command Subject Matter Expert and Technical Lead or Accounts Payable.
    • You will provide technical guidance to Accounts Payable team members in researching and resolving complex issues.
    • You will ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations in order to effectively analyze and execute projects both routine and non-routine in nature.
    • You will ensure Navy Working Capital Fund (NWCF) financial data is processed and reported accurately and in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
    • You will prepare and/or oversee various ad hoc analyses, perform Navy Enterprise resources Planning (ERP) troubleshooting, recommend enhancements to navy ERP.
    • You will represent NIWC LANT and participate in Design Specification review and User Acceptance Testing for Navy ERP modifications.
    • You will design, implement, and assess internal control processes and systems in accordance with Financial Improvement and Audit readiness) FIAR guidance.
    • You will provide appropriate variance forecasting as well as sharing in the development of a culture that thrives on continuous improvement, automation, and quality principles.

    Qualification Summary

    Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing technical guidance of Accounts Payable issues; experience interpreting compliance of financial laws and regulations; development of financial OR accounting plans, AND ensuring accurate financial reporting and certifying results.
