  • Responsibilities

    Major Duties (Job Description)

    • You will assist the Security Director in the administration of the Access Control and Badging System and conduct identification, vetting, and badging for all of NIWC Atlantic employees, industry partners, visitors, and DVs.
    • You will manage the customer service desk, answering access control emails regarding base access.
    • You will maintain associated information and databases, continually evaluate the programs and systems for vulnerabilities and necessary process improvements.
    • You will ensure all personnel who have security duties are kept abreast of changes in policies and procedures and provide assistance in solving security problems.
    • You will serve as the primary POC for writing, maintaining, and updating the NIWC LANT Access Control standard operating procedure documents.
    • You will be responsible for generating required reports for the supevisor and the DEERS Project office on a weekly basis.

    Qualification Summary

    Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-08 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: conducting identification, vetting, and badging for employees and visitors AND maintaining associated information and databases, continually evaluating the programs and systems for vulnerabilities and necessary process improvements.
