  • Responsibilities

    Major Duties (Job Description)

    • You will attend the Naval Security Manager's Course within 1 year of appointment to the position and you will obtain and maintain the Security Fundamentals Professional SPeD Certification within 2 years of appointment to the position.
    • You will have advanced knowledge in Personnel Security leading a team of Personnel Security Specialists ensuring access to classified information is limited to appropriately cleared personnel with a valid need-to-know.
    • You will manage the processing, verification, and approval of SAAR-N forms via the SWAT Tool.
    • You will obtain and maintain a Defense Information for Security (DISS) account, National Background Investigation Services (NBIS) account, Secure Web Fingerprint Transmission (SWFT) System account, and an NP2 Portal account.

    Qualification Summary

    NO-04 - Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Initiate, review, submit and distinguish the difference in requirements for Tier 1,2,3,4,& 5 background investigations to ensure access to classified information is limited to appropriately cleared personnel. NO-05 - Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Leading a team of Personnel Security Specialists and managing NBIS background investigative requests, onboarding requirements for all new hires, and managing the scheduling for badging, and CAC appointments with Access Control.
