  • Responsibilities

    Major Duties (Job Description)

    • You will serve as a Budget Analyst performing reviews and analysis of field activity input and Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS) work products for the Department of the Navy (DON), and President's Budget submissions.
    • You will provide effective and timely communication with Financial Management Budget (FMB) and United States Navy Working Capital Fund (NWCF) field activities is required to ensure budget justifications are provided with established deadlines.
    • You will review and analyze budget execution results for areas of emphasis during the Quarterly Budget Execution Reviews, End of Year budget exhibits and monthly Defense Departmental Reporting System (DDRS) Financial Statements.
    • You will promote a culture of high performance, accountability, and teamwork with fellow team members.
    • You will demonstrate outreach to customers and/or engagement with business partners to enhance the performance of assigned functions to better contribute to the Departments' mission.
    • You will use Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Dep. of Navy Industrial Budget Information System (DONIBIS) s to gain greater insight into US Navy Working Capital Fund (NWCF) operations and promote more efficient use of available resources.
    • You will complete all Budget Execution products shall be completed in accordance with FMB guidance and within stipulated delivery dates.
    • You will perform ad hoc research and analysis as required by FMB or Naval Information Warfare Systems Command (NAVWAR) leadership using Navy ERP, DONIBIS, and Echelon Ill resources, as necessary.

    Qualification Summary

    Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band DA-02 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Performing review and analysis of field activities; reviewing and analyzing budget execution results for areas of emphasis during the Quarterly Budget Execution Reviews, End of Year budget exhibits, and monthly Defense Departmental Reporting System Financial Statements; AND providing timely and effective communication with field activities and customers.
