  • Responsibilities

    Major Duties (Job Description)

    • You will provide training and direction to junior analyst in day-to-day operations.
    • You will provide oversight to junior analyst, review work and provide feedback as required.
    • You will research and coordinate the processing of the rolling review with department POCs.
    • You will perform analysis of general ledger account postings to identify discrepancies and post corrections as necessary. Support senior analysts in account analysis, report preparation and construction of briefs for upper management.
    • You will review and analyze accounting postings and reports in NERP and ADVANA to forecast balances and reconcile accounts. Interpretation of financial policies and regulations pertaining to accounting.
    • You will perform complex analysis of general ledger account postings to identify trends, errors and discrepancies and provide guidance on how to correct them. Conduct periodic review of junior analyst work on entering service entry sheets.
    • You will prepare, analysis and presentation to upper management of complex financial summary reports. Perform 1301a review on non-labor cost transfers to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.

    Qualification Summary

    NO-4 Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing financial and policy guidance to leaders in support of audits, accounting and/or other financially related processes. NO-03 Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Assisting in audit process by researching policies and regulations relating to auditing, accounting and/or other financially related processes.
