    Major Duties (Job Description)

    • You will serve as a Naval Information Warfare (NAVWAR) Command focal point for technical guidance on implementing and administering position classification programs.
    • You will collaborate with Echelon II and III leadership to resolve complex classification issues, providing expert guidance and interpretation of classification policies and practices.
    • You will provide Alternative Personnel System (APS) classification advisory services for positions performing work primarily in professional and administrative fields.
    • You will conduct classification of complex position descriptions in support of major re-organization efforts, contentious actions, and other initiatives.
    • You will lead or contribute to the development and revision of HR policies and procedures related to classification, compensation, and HRIS management, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and federal guidelines.
    • You will analyze regulations to develop standard operating procedures or processes for an organization's recruitment, relocation, and retention incentive program.
    • You will provide guidance and review for initial salary setting and pay adjustments when additional review is requested by the Human Resource Official (HRO).
    • You will assist with the compensation programs, conducting detailed analyses to determine appropriate pay scales, salary adjustments, and incentive structures.
    • You will conduct training sessions and workshops to enhance understanding and application of classification and compensation principles among relevant stakeholders.

    Qualification Summary

    DA-03 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band DA-02 in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing federal classification authoritative advice and consultative service to customers; and interpreting and applying position classification standards to professional, administrative and interdisciplinary positions to determine appropriate pay plan, occupational series, title and grade level for civilian positions.
