Major Duties (Job Description)
- You will serve as the Administrative Assistant to the NAVWAR Counsel within the NAVWAR 3.0 Office of Counsel.
- You will make, assist in making and coordinate travel arrangements, to include scheduling, reservations and preparation of travel vouchers using Defense Travel System (DTS).
- You will prepare itinerary details for Counsel and Deputy Counsel as requested, including pre and post trip reports and other related correspondence.
- You will serve as the Navy-Enterprise Resource Planning (N-ERP) Time Administrator for 3.0; ensuring all timekeeping requirements are completed on schedule and submitted accurately.
- You will be responsible for the submission and tracking of required leave documentation.
- You will provide technical support, to include computer and mobile equipment and services; keep personnel up to date on important information regarding systems and software and assist them to understand and apply the information provided.
- You will ensure all computer software upgrades are implemented office-wide on a timely basis; monitor, report and escalate as needed issues to the Customer Technical Representative (CTR); coordinate the delivery and management of services.
- You will screen and receive all incoming visitors, review Counsel’s outgoing correspondence for clarity, spelling, grammatical errors and correct formatting; retrieve incoming mail; route matters requiring action by section heads.
- You will coordinate with Navy Central Office support personnel on administrative and support matters.
- You will maintain the Counsel's daily and long-range calendar.anticipate future obligations, de-conflicts problems, and plans and projects time for historically recurring requirements.
Qualification Summary
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or DG-02 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: managing administrative procedures, analysis and competency level administrative duties; developing comprehensive plans and strategies; coordinating all travel arrangements and preparing itinerary details, pre and post trip reports, and other related correspondence; utilizes modern office automation systems; AND providing technical support, to include computer and mobile equipment and services.
