  • Responsibilities

    Major Duties (Job Description)

    • You will facilitate experimentation through the execution of various certification processes (e.g. laser, RF, safety, battery, airspace etc.) on behalf of experimental technologies.
    • You will work with technical leadership personnel to develop and execute experimentation plans for efforts at both NIWC Atlantic's ranges and other DoD Ranges.
    • You will provide leadership and working level support for experimentation initiatives at NIWC Atlantic ranges. Further, you will work to integrate NIWC Atlantic ranges into Naval experimentation campaign plans.
    • You will lead coordination efforts among command and Naval experimentation stakeholders. Work with senior partners (internal and external to NIWC Atlantic) to develop concepts for field experimentation of new technologies.
    • You will develop the relationships and agreements (Cooperative Research and Development Agreements, bailments, Memorandums of Agreement, etc) needed to execute required field experimentation.

    Qualification Summary

    Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Facilitating experimentation through the execution of various certification processes, working with leadership personnel to develop and execute plans, and leading coordination teams. Experience with formal agreements, certification processes, field experimentation test plan development, communications and briefing with senior leadership and partnership/coordination with technical developers.
