  • Responsibilities

    Major Duties (Job Description)

    • You will perform software engineering, electrical engineering, mathematical and system engineering methods and techniques to work with or lead others in analysis of new requirements.
    • You will work with others to develop Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), Impact Statements (IS) and update requirements and other documents such as the A Spec and Interface Design Specification (IDS).
    • You will participate in System Design and Requirement Reviews, Code Walk Throughs, Local Change Configuration Boards, and Trouble Report/Bug Report Control Boards.
    • You will work with others to verify implementation of new requirements by conducting tests, modifying program sequence or code, and correcting deficiencies.
    • You will independently plan, manage, advise, administer, or perform professional engineering work to include but not limited to design, development, analysis of computer hardware, systems, software and computer architecture.
    • You will independently plan, manage, advise, administer, or perform professional and scientific work such as the application of, or research into computer science methods and techniques to store, manipulate, transform or present information.

    Qualification Summary

    ND-04 Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience working with Naval Tactical Data Link (TDL) Systems, Link 16 and other tactical networks; applying software engineering, electrical engineering, mathematical and system engineering methods and techniques to conduct analysis of new requirements and produce Rough Orders of Magnitude (ROM) for work scope. ND-03 Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Knowledge of Naval Tactical Data Link (TDL) Systems, Link 16 and other tactical networks; conducting tests, modifying program sequence or code, and correcting deficiencies.
