  • Responsibilities

    Major Duties (Job Description)

    • You will serve as a lead engineer/scientist in the Navigation Engineering competency where you will manage complex Position, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) system projects involving multiple engineering disciplines.
    • You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, objectives, and requirements, and develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets.
    • You will develop system engineering artifacts to clearly and concisely communicate system implementation, dependencies, and constraints.
    • You will establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to facilitate effective communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
    • You will monitor project progress, proactively identify and address issues, identify potential risks and develop contingency plans, and provide timely and accurate progress reports to leadership and stakeholders.
    • You will analyze costs, schedules, and manpower requirements to provide solutions to meet customer needs

    Qualification Summary

    Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Conducting the planning, design, and development of C4I systems, conducting requirements analysis and development, conducting progress meetings and design reviews, and analyzing costs, schedules, and manpower requirements. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
