  • Responsibilities

    Major Duties (Job Description)

    • You will serve as the Information Technology (IT) Installation Project Manager providing oversight and on-site Subject Matter Expert (SME) technical support of NAVWAR IT and C4ISR installation and modernization at Shore sites.
    • You will apply practical knowledge of and skills in applying a wide range of technical engineering methods, principles, requirements, work techniques, and practices in an area of IT installation specialization.
    • You will provide on-site technical support to existing equipment, installation and conversion of new equipment, and logistical support to the Local Navy Authority (or equivalent) and prime government contractors.
    • You will perform on multiple complex projects, advise on and/or resolve difficult or without-precedent, factual, procedural, and/or recurring issues.
    • You will participate in the development of designs, plans, and solutions to ensure viable options are proposed for equipment installations, modifications, upgrades, and maintenance.

    Qualification Summary

Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Utilize analytical skills, evaluation techniques, and re-engineering methods to assess the technical, financial, and programmatic implications of prospective IT endeavors. 2. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Manage stakeholder requirements from internal/external agencies helping execute and accomplish organizational goals and objectives. 3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Providing leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the workforce communicating organizational goals and objectives while aligning with the command's initiatives. 4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: analysis, reporting, coordinating, and facilitating working groups to meet and resolve project objectives. In addition: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or NO-04 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Manage AND/OR lead IT installation projects, provide on-site technical support, manage complex installations and upgrades, ensure system interoperability, resolve technical issues, and develop solutions, reports, AND/OR procedures.
